021523 - Otermats move to Sweden!
Laura got a job, so we left the US for Sweden! I'm doing the stay-at-home dad thing for now, and having a lot of fun exploring our new surroundings.

050421 - Will Otermat is born!
Drake is a big brother!

030418 - Pungeon is released!
Clearly being a parent has suggested a few things. One of which is game built around parent puns and other word play based groaners. Currently live on itch.io

062617 - Drake Otermat is born!
We're parents now! Our cat, Fog, is learning her new role in the family with competition for our laps, but seems to be doing alright with it.

062114 - Jim Otermat and Laura Bickle wed!
We got married in Ann Arbor, MI surrounded by family and friends. We went to the UK for our honeymoon, spending the majority of our time in Scotland. We slept in a castle, visited a bunch of other castles (include Doune Castle which was made famous in Monty Python's Holy Grail), and watched the World Cup. Then we took a train down to London to catch Monty Python Live.

More information about the newly minted Laura Otermat can be found on her Blog

051714 - Dark Scavenger Launches on Steam!

We made it through the Greenlight process, and upgraded it to Flex/Air so it would play nice with the Steam setup. It's currently a cross-buy PC, Mac, and Linux (which launched a month later).

043012 - Dark Scavenger Launches

The team at Psydra Games and I completed a 2.25 year dev cycle and launched Dark Scavenger to PC and Mac. This is easily the biggest project I've ever taken on, and I'm really proud of it. It is a blend of point-and-click adventure and RPG, with a very dark humor streak running throughout. All of the reviews have been positive or neutral. Very satisfying in that regard.

121705 - My book!

I've published a book of my first ten years of poetry. It was one of those things that I wanted to get done eventually, so in the lull between my MSc and my first job I finally got around to doing it. I think it turned out quite well.

051207 - Video Performance
Below is a video of my first public performance of my work since High School English class, which covers three of my pieces: "My Mom", "Cloud Nine", and "Your Eyes", the last of these being an acappela song. Please disregard the background noises including, but not limited to, small children, blenders, people walking in front of the camera, and my cell phone. Also, ignore the ferocious goatee I was sporting at the time.
